Dr. Bob Uslander from Empowered Endings in San Diego will join Compassion & Choices for an enlightening presentation on Voluntarily Stopping Eating and Drinking (VSED), a compassionate and dignified option for end-of-life care that is often misunderstood and underutilized. In this session, Dr. Uslander will dispel common misconceptions held by both healthcare providers and the general public, address the challenges associated with VSED, and share best practices for supporting patients, their loved ones, and healthcare professionals involved in this process. Additionally, Dr. Uslander will share real-life stories of patients and families who have chosen this path, providing a deeper understanding of their experiences and the profound impact of VSED.
